The 12 months is 2016. Taylor Swift steps onto the Met Gala pink carpet with an ultra-bleached bob and sideswept bangs—a method we now consult with as Bleachella—and the world goes wild. It was the chop that launched a thousand lookalike bangs (and possibly a number of bowl-cut regrets, too).
Quick ahead 10 years to tonight on the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Making a shock look on the pink carpet, she got here bearing a bit magnificence inspiration: swooping bangs that really feel like a sophisticated, engaged-girl model of that very 2016 look.

In fact, on this planet of Taylor Swift, nothing’s a coincidence. For her look on the iHeart Radio Music Awards, she hearkened again to the green-and-orange motif that surrounded her newest album, The Lifetime of a Showgirl, in a seafoam-green corseted mini costume, ditching her signature pink lip for one thing extra pure and peachy.
